Careers: Solutions Consultant

Consultative sales for people who actually understand technology

Red River Integration is a growing technology integration firm serving luxury residential and commercial clients across Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas. We’re looking for a Solutions Consultant who enjoys working directly with clients, understands how technology is deployed in real environments, and can translate needs into clear, buildable solutions.

This is a field-based, consultative role — not inside sales, not phone farming, and not quota-driven pressure. The focus is on listening first, asking smart questions, and helping clients make informed, long-term decisions.

Location, Flexibility & Work Structure

This role is based in Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas.

  • It is not a full-time in-office position

  • Many initial client consultations are conducted via Zoom

  • Most internal meetings and coordination are handled via Zoom

  • We intentionally operate as a location-flexible organization

  • Reliable, robust high-speed internet is required for remote meetings and collaboration

  • Solutions Consultants are expected to attend on-site client meetings regularly

  • Occasional in-office meetings are required for planning, reviews, and team alignment

  • Reliable personal transportation is required for daily travel to client sites throughout the region

How This Role Works

The Solutions Consultant serves as the bridge between the client and our technical team.

You’ll often engage clients first through Zoom consultations, then transition to in-person site walks and scoping as projects take shape. Your role is to help define requirements, explain options, and set expectations that align with how projects are actually installed and supported.

This role works closely with installers, engineers, and leadership to ensure what’s proposed is practical, realistic, and executable in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work directly with clients and internal teams. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting initial client consultations via Zoom

  • Meeting luxury residential and commercial clients on-site

  • Leading discovery conversations to understand real business or lifestyle needs

  • Conducting site walks and participating in scoping discussions

  • Helping define project scope, priorities, budgets, and constraints

  • Collaborating with the technical team to shape solutions and proposals

  • Serving as a consistent point of contact during early project phases

This role is about clarity, trust, and alignment — not pushing products.

Who This Is a Good Fit For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has at least a high school diploma
(technical school, university coursework, or a related degree is a plus)

  • Is naturally curious and tech-forward, with a genuine interest in modern systems, networking, and integrated technology

  • Is comfortable on Zoom and in person, and can build rapport in both settings

  • Is comfortable talking to strangers and building trust quickly
(if face-to-face or video client conversations feel awkward or draining, this role is not a fit)

  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and professionally with clients

  • Has experience in customer-facing roles
(sales experience is a strong plus)

  • Can lead conversations while actively listening

  • Enjoys problem-solving and explaining technical concepts in plain language

  • Is organized, reliable, and follows through

  • Values long-term client relationships over transactional sales

  • Can balance client expectations with technical, budget, and installation realities

  • Has reliable transportation and is comfortable driving daily to client sites

  • Has reliable, high-quality internet suitable for frequent video meetings

Experience in technology consulting, systems integration, MSPs, construction, real estate, or technical sales is helpful — but communication skills, judgment, and professionalism matter more than a specific background.

This role is not a fit for someone who is technically sharp but uncomfortable in client-facing situations.

Growth and Opportunity

This role is designed to grow alongside the company.

As Red River Integration expands, Solutions Consultants may:

  • Take ownership of larger and more complex projects

  • Develop deeper technical and architectural understanding

  • Help shape how we scope work and engage clients

  • Grow into senior consulting, solution architecture, or leadership roles

We invest in people who want to understand the entire lifecycle, not just close a deal.

Work Environment

This is a field-based, relationship-driven role with flexible location expectations.

You’ll spend time:

  • Meeting clients via Zoom and on-site across Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas

  • Walking homes, offices, and facilities

  • Collaborating with installers and engineers (mostly via Zoom)

  • Participating in planning and review conversations

The environment is professional, flexible, and human — never corporate or scripted.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, responsibility, and contribution.

This role is not built around aggressive quotas or pressure tactics. Success is measured by project quality, client satisfaction, and long-term relationships.
